Author's Note: I began this a couple of years ago, and it was
posted as UFS. Well with some help from Ris I finally managed to
work out an ending. So here it is
finally finished! Also, I
believe the only groups to have originally gotten it are 13, 14,
and 16... thus I'm putting REP (repost) in the heading of the
first 2 parts. This is new to all other groups.
In the dark something stirred, it moved slowly, stealthily, like
a predator. It crouched low and watched as the stranger moved
closer, searching but unsure of what she would find. She rounded
the curve and stopped, peering into the blackness. The creature
shrank back, moving deeper into the dark abyss, but it sensed
that it could be seen, despite its efforts.
The stranger leered, a cruel smile spreading across her face.
"I know you're there, come forward, I have something for you."
The creature's brow rose, it crept forward a few yards, but still
remained in the shadows. "What do you want?"
"I've come to ask something of you, and grant you something
in return. She lifted her hand, palm up, and a ball of flame
burst forth, illuminating the cavern. "There, I like to be
able to see those I am propositioning." She made a disgusted
sound and wrinkled her nose, "This place could really use
some redecorating.
"Who are you?" The creature snarled.
She smiled, but it was devoid of everything but her own arrogance.
"But my dear, I am Q." When the creature's eyes flashed
with disbelief she clucked her tongue, "No, I'm not *that* Q,
but a Q just the same."
"So what do you want with me?" The creature rose and
stepped forward ready to bolt if necessary.
"We have a common problem, and because I'm incapable of
taking care of it, I'm offering you the chance to do it yourself.
You see, she's become a nuisance to me and I am no longer willing
to allow her to go on living. But I have one little problem, the
continuum favors her, and if I were to get rid of her I would be
severely punished." She moved around slowly, walking in a
circle around her new pet. "But you on the other hand could
do it for both of us, you mean nothing to the continuum and could
care not what you do. You see if our dear sweet friend loses her
life they are powerless to change it, they simply must find a new
distraction."
"And what is to keep them from punishing me?
"Simple, you're insignificant, an insect. They wouldn't
waste their time with you."
The creature nodded, "I see, and what is in this for me? You
said we shared this problem, if so, who is it?"
"If you dispose of her, I'll grant you your life back, but
if you fail you return to this...hell of yours. And believe me,
you would enjoy this mission of yours. For dear sweet Kathryn has
wronged you as she has me, stealing those important to me. So
what say you my pet?"
The creature's eyes flashed brightly with hatred, "Janeway.
I'll do it. But stop addressing me as your pet."
The female Q smiled, "Alright my friend, you have a week.
Fail, and spend all eternity reliving your worst failure."
With a flash she was gone, leaving the creature alone.

She laughed as they rounded the bend in the corridor, "Well
you know, there are worse things than being caught on holo-vid
completely unexpectedly."
He grunted, "You wouldn't be saying that if it had been you."
"Really Chakotay, I don't see what you're problem is."
She stopped and stared at him, her eyes were dancing, the sight
of him covered in Neelix's orange gooey Leola doe fresh in her
mind. She remembered hearing about the incident, how the Talaxian
had sneezed sending the bowl in his hands flying. It had been
Chakotay's good fortune to find himself on the receiving end of
the bowl. Or bad fortune, depending on how you looked at it.
"That vid of you was an excellent morale booster, the crew
will be laughing at it for days."
He narrowed his eyes at her, "I'm so glad that I've amused
you. Frankly Kathryn, now that I know the doctor is taking
donations for his little Holo-collection, I may have to give him
the one of you from New Earth. On our last day, trying to get
into the uniform that was suddenly a bit too snug..."
Her voice lowered, the sparkle in her eyes diminishing a little,
"You wouldn't dare."
"Oh would I?" He winked at her and turned around,
presuming his course down the corridor. "And if I didn't,
there's always the one of you tearing the mess hall apart
searching for coffee. And Doc still has that one he snapped of
you from that trip with the Delta Flyer, you remember, where you
fell into Tom's lap. I'm sure the crew would really enjoy that
one, his hands were in all the *right* places. Or wrong ones,
depending on who you ask." He snickered; fully enjoying the
death glare he could feel boring into the back of his head.
"You're evil, I hope you know that!" She put her hands
on her hips and turned to go back the way she'd come, deciding he
didn't deserve her presence in the mess hall.
He stopped, laughing at her response. "Oh come on Kathryn,
you started it." He turned to follow her, jogging to catch
up. "I was just getting even!" He noticed the way she
held herself, back ramrod straight, "Don't be this way, it
was a joke."
She stopped, grinning from ear to ear and started to turn. As she
did so she caught sight of something in the corner of her eye. A
figure materialized between them, facing Chakotay. She opened her
mouth and started to lunge forward, even as the weapon was raised,
but she wasn't fast enough. Everything happened in slow motion,
the hooded figure fired, hitting Chakotay square in the chest,
then disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. She ran to his
side, dropping to her knees next to him, his face was already far
too pale. She pressed a hand to his neck, desperately feeling for
a pulse. The one she found was far too faint to last long, she
struck at her combadge with one hand as she pulled his head into
her lap with the other, "Medical emergency! Two to beam to
sickbay."
The bulkheads dematerialized around her, but an unfamiliar cavern
was where she found herself materializing. Kathryn looked around
frantically, reaching for her combadge only to find it gone. She
squinted in the darkness, looking for Chakotay, but he too was
gone. A deep growl caught her attention and she whipped around,
startled by the familiarity of it. She froze, a gasp bursting
through her control, "Seska!"
He awoke to a deep searing pain that radiated outward from his
chest and anchored itself in his head. The groan that escaped his
parched lips and dry throat only seemed to increase the sharp
pain in his head. He didn't dare open his eyes, finding some
solace at least in the dark abyss. His fingers flexed beside him,
more a reflex than will, but that at least convinced him he was
lying on a bed of some kind, or a cot. He gritted his teeth as a
hand brushed his shoulder, the slight action sending spikes of
pain up his body. He tried to open his eyes then, wanting to know
who had touched him and where he was. His lids were heavy and
opened slowly, allowing the bright lights above to obstruct his
vision. The pain in his head increased, and he blinked quickly,
trying to fight the urge to close his eyes again.
"Welcome back Commander." The sound swam within his
head, he was only vaguely aware of the owner. "You had us
worried for a while."
He recognized the voice as the EMH's and opened his mouth to
speak, but only managed a barely audible, strangled whisper.
"How long?"
"Almost two days, about 38 hours to be exact." The
doctor pressed a hypo to his neck, then held a tricorder in his
face.
Chakotay sighed, the pain in his head began to flow away, but the
pain in his chest remained. He reached up with his left hand and
gently touched the spot, feeling only the coarse material of the
medical shift. "What happened?" He coughed, clearing
his voice a little. He struggled to remember; only recalling
flashes and images.
The EMH shrugged, "I'm not quite sure, I'm a doctor not a
security officer, but you were brought in with severe disrupter
burns. I've repaired most of the damage, but the rest will take
time to heal, so you should feel a bit of discomfort for a day or
two." When the Commander nodded he went on, "But I did
manage to get from Mr. Paris that you and the Captain were
attacked in the corridor outside the Mess hall. Luckily for you
two crewmen happened to witness the attack and managed to get you
to sickbay in time."
Chakotay looked up at him and stared, the images in his brain
pulled together to form one large picture. "Kathryn, where's
Kathryn?" He suddenly remembered the figure materializing
between them, and for a split second he'd been sure it would fire
at Kathryn, but it hadn't.
The Doctor shrugged, "We haven't been able to pinpoint her
location, but we believe she is somewhere in this system."
"You believe?" He sat up, grimacing at the pain in his
chest and tried to slide off the biobed. His knees buckled the
moment his feet hit the ground, and the doctor moved forward to
support him.
"We haven't had any definite leads, unless you count Q among
those." The doctor frowned, "Now if you don't mind I
have a patient that needs rest, and I must insist that he remain
where he is. There is nothing you can do, Tuvok is on top of the
situation."
Chakotay growled, too weak and in too much pain to argue. He lay
back on the biobed but refused to close his eyes. "Fine, but
I want someone down here with a report in the next fifteen
minutes. I want to know exactly what the happened and what's been
done since, and what they are planning to do now. And what the
HELL does Q have to do with any of this?" He'd finally
caught on to that piece of information and was sitting up again.
"When was he here? What did he do?"
The EMH rolled his eyes, "If you would calm down Commander,
I might be able to explain." He tapped his combadge, "Sickbay
to Bridge, Commander Chakotay has awakened and would like a full
report."
"Acknowledged," The Vulcan security officer's voice
came over the link, "I shall be there shortly."
"Happy?" The Doctor said when the link was severed,
"now, as for our omnipotent friend, he's trying to help.
Believe it or not, he seems to think his *significant other* had
something to do with this. He can't interfere directly, but he
can try and point us in the right direction, that's how we ended
up in this solar system. The rest, as they say, is up to us."
Chakotay grunted again, "Why does that not make me feel any
better."
The doors to sickbay swished open then, Tuvok strode in a data
padd in hand. He stopped beside the Commander's biobed and nodded
to the EMH, "Doctor, if you wouldn't mind.."
"Of course, I think I'll just go cheer myself up with some
bacterial cultures." He turned on his heal and moved away, a
slight harrumph on his lips.
Chakotay sighed and looked at Tuvok, "What have you got for
me?" His voice was still quite hoarse, but was getting
clearer every time he used it.
The Vulcan handed over the padd; "I've prepared a full
detailed report of the events of the last 38 hours, beginning
with the incident in the corridor. According to the witnesses, an
unknown assailant shot you and the Captain called for an
immediate transport to sickbay, you materialized, and the Captain
did not. Since then her whereabouts have been unknown, Voyager
was taken out of warp until a fix could be found. During the next
three hours Q appeared on the bridge, looking quite, emotional."
Chakotay cut in then, "What'd he say? What'd he want?"
He tried focusing on the data padd but the words and symbols swam
before him.
Tuvok continued, undeterred, "Q expressed great concern that
Captain Janeway had disappeared, he stated that he feared she may
be in danger. He also informed us that while he could not
interfere directly, he could give us an idea of where to begin,
hints if you will. Subsequently, Voyager then traveled to the
system we are now searching, Q left shortly after and has not
returned since."
Chakotay nodded, "Alright, any leads since we got here? Any
sign of her at all?"
"No," The Security Chief stood completely still,
seemingly unaffected by the events of the last several hours.
"We are scanning the system as thoroughly as possible, we
understand that speed is a factor in finding Captain Janeway. But
we must be certain every variable is looked into."
Chakotay nodded again, "Good. All right, you know what to do,
keep doing it. When the Doctor releases me I'll see if I can pick
up some of the slack. But until then you're in charge."
The Vulcan bowed his head once, "Commander," he turned
on his heal and left the room, returning to his position on the
bridge, and the job at hand.
Chakotay let out a long sigh as he sank into the biobed, what the
hell was going on. In the pit of his gut an eerie feeling began
to stir, he closed his eyes and tried desperately to try and make
out the face of his attacker. But as hard as he tried all he
managed to see was the black hole where the face should have been.
Eventually he drifted back into unconsciousness, a mixture of
exhaustion and medication.
She whipped around when she heard the low animalistic growl. It
took her eyes a few seconds to focus in the dark cavern; they
traveled up the cloaked form, taking in the gray, sickly colored
skin of the figure's hands. She watched the hands as they rose to
push the hood away from it's face. As the hood fell away the face
rose, pinning her in a deadly glare. She froze, her entire body
unable to move, unable to even breathe. Her eyes widened, the
pain in her chest grew until she was forced to inhale. "Seska!"
She finally managed to gasp.
The figure stepped forward, clucking softly, "How very
observant you are, Kathryn." The name sounded like a curse
on her lips, she smiled, her eyes cold.
Kathryn stiffened, "I won't even begin to wonder how this is
possible. But I suggest you send me back to my ship."
She laughed, a cruel demonic sound that vibrated off the walls of
the cavern. "You haven't changed a bit, still so damned
presumptuous." She took a step forward, her eyes turning
dark, "Well *I* am in charge now, and *I* will give the
orders." She smiled again, "Not that you'll live long
enough to get used to that, or to even do anything about it."
Kathryn felt herself go cold, a deep chill flowed into her veins,
filling every part of her. She fought the urge to shudder,
pulling on all of her training she lifted a brow instead and met
the gaze of her enemy. "If you intend to kill me then just
do it, why waste time arguing semantics."
Seska shook her head and moved forward, slowly circling her prey.
"Oh no, I've waited a long time for this, and I intend to
fully savor it. I have a week to bring your puny existence to an
end, and I have every intention of taking advantage of it."
She stopped when she stood before her again, "I am going to
enjoy cutting you down to size. It's a pity Chakotay can't be
here to see it, but when I'm done I have no doubt that Voyager
will have recorded for history's sake, the day the mighty Janeway
hath fallen."
Kathryn felt her jaw clench, "Don't be so sure of yourself
Seska, you've never been able to defeat me before."
She growled, and fought the urge to lunge, "This is one time
I will, you're alone, in case you hadn't noticed. None of your
precious Starfleet officers are going to save you this time."
"Then by all means," Kathryn prayed for Voyager to
hurry, "let the games begin."
Seska took a step forward and lifted her hand to trail a finger
across Kathryn's cheek, "Soon, very, very soon."
***
Chakotay paced the length of the bridge, 52 hours; she'd been
missing for 52 hours. And not one sign of her had been found.
They were only halfway through their sweep of the nine-planet
system, and the feeling in the pit of his stomach told him they
were running out of time. He stopped and looked over his shoulder
at Harry, "Anything?"
The Ensign shook his head, "No sir." He was beginning
to sound annoyed; Chakotay had taken to asking him the same thing
every fifteen minutes. He shot a glance over at Tuvok, pleading
with him for some kind of assistance.
The Vulcan stepped around his console and moved down to the
command level, "Commander, perhaps it would be prudent for
you to rest. You have not done so since leaving sickbay a few
hours ago. And it was my understanding that the Doctor had you
under orders to do so."
Chakotay sighed, "Alright," he had to admit it was
getting harder to stay upright. The soreness in his chest had not
yet abated, and he was beginning to feel light headed. "I'll
be in the ready room, but that's as far as I'm going. I want to
be near the bridge."
Tuvok nodded, "Understood, you will be notified the moment
we locate any sign of Captain Janeway."
Chakotay walked past him and into the solitude of the Ready Room,
only there did he allow his shoulders to slump. He let out a deep
sigh and moved across to the sofa, he completely ignored the desk.
But as he sank onto the sofa he caught sight of it, she'd been
planning to return to her office. Padds were scattered on the
surface, he shook his head at the sight of the coffee mug sitting
next to her computer terminal. He remembered she'd been late to
the Doctor's holo-show, no doubt she'd forgotten about it, and
her promise to attend.
He slumped back onto the sofa and let his eyes drift shut. He
could see her face, the fire and light in her eyes as she'd
turned away from him in the corridor; the spark that had promised
her vengeance for his joke. He sighed again and whispered into
the empty room, "We're coming Kathryn, just don't give up."
"Don't give up..." The mantra repeated itself over
and over in her mind as she scrambled through the labyrinth of
dark caverns. The games had begun, literally, she was the prey,
and Seska was her hunter. She had no idea how long she'd been
running through the tunnels, but it had to have been hours, at
least. Her knees and hands were bloodied from where she'd
repeatedly stumbled and fallen, scraping them against the sharp
stoned floor. She'd ceased to feel the stinging a long time ago,
and now they felt swollen, possibly infected. She was tired, her
legs felt heavy, and her body was ready to give up. But her mind
kept her going, she would not give in to Seska, though she had a
feeling she was just running in circles, and was probably being
watched. She stopped momentarily, and leaned heavily against one
of the cavern walls, her chest heaved as she struggled to breathe.
She looked around, squinting in the unending darkness, it was no
wonder she was lost. There was nothing in the dark, damp caverns
to use for light, and she had nothing to make a fire out of. And
in the darkness, the light of a fire would have only given her
location away. It seemed, she was damned if she did, and damned
if she didn't.
Kathryn swore, she was tired of running. She pushed herself away
from the cavern wall and began unbuttoning the jacket of her
uniform. She pulled her turtleneck over her head then used the
discarded clothing as padding for her back as she sat and leaned
against the cavern wall. She drew her knees up and rested her
arms across them, and waited. Waited to fight, waited to die,
just waited.
"Oh Kathryn... come out, come out, wherever you are."
The taunting voice echoed through the cavern, too near for
comfort. Seska laughing tauntingly as she appeared near Kathryn,
a torch in one hand. Slowly she crouched before her, "You
really didn't think you could get away from me that easily did
you? Tsk, tsk, tsk, you're getting slow in your old age."
She pouted, "I would have expected you to be much brighter
than that, but then again, you always did let Tuvok and Chakotay
do the thinking for you."
Kathryn growled, "Seska, if you're going to kill me, then I
suggest you get it over with. Otherwise, you can blow whatever
problems you have out your ass and let me get on with my life."
Seska threw her head back and laughed, "Ooooh, you're vulgar
when you're pissed." She stood, "Don't worry Captain, I
am going to kill you, just not yet."
She rose slowly, using the cavern wall as her support, "Then,
do tell, what are you going to do?"
"Make you beg..." Seska took a step toward her, "When
I've finished with you, you'll be begging me to kill you."
"I really don't think so Seska, there is nothing you can do
that will ever make me ask you for anything." Kathryn turned
and began moving away from her foe again, though at a much slower
pace, and with a definite limp.
Laughing, Seska called after her, "Tell me Kathryn, does
Chakotay enjoy that stubborn, resilient side of you? When he
takes you to bed does he complain about being worn out, or does
he tell you he never imagined he could be so happy?"
She turned slowly and moved back to stand in front of Seska,
"Actually, he recalls how glad he is that I'm not the
Cardassian trash he never would have touched under normal
circumstances."
Seska's eyes narrowed dangerously, "Oh but he did, on many
occasions."
Kathryn turned again, "Yes, and he's had nightmares about it
ever since."
She watched her go, and said in a dangerously low voice, "Taunt
me now, but soon you will be screaming for mercy."
"An empty threat, Seska, to join all the other empty threats
you've been making since you pulled me into this hell." She
turned a final time, finally having had enough. "Well I've
had enough of them, there is nothing you can do that will ever
make me beg you for anything. If you're going to kill me, then do
it, I won't beg you for my life. The truth is," she stopped
in front of her nemesis, "I welcome it. A final end to this
damned hell I've been living, a final chance to rest, to have
peace. There's nothing you can do to make me fear that Seska. I'm
only playing your game to stall for time, because unlike you I
have the ability to think of others. Voyager will find me, and
when they do, I'm going to have the pleasure of putting you out
of your misery once and for all."
Seska sneered, "You really think so? Well then perhaps its
time we got this show on the road." She snapped her fingers
and the two disappeared, only to reappear in a different set of
caverns. This one was filled with light supplied by the burning
inferno raging around them. There were pits of glowing, angry red
lava undulating all around them. "There's just one thing
missing," her eyes narrowed dangerously as she snapped her
fingers again.
Chakotay appeared near by, separated from them by a ravine filled
with the molten rock. He looked around, disoriented at first, but
his eyes focused in on them. "What the hell is going on here?"
Seska rubbed her hands complete, "The scene is set, it's
time to begin." She turned to Chakotay, "My dear, dear
Commander, so you survived the little disruptor incident? Such a
pity, oh well, its all well and good, because now you can watch
your precious Kathryn die. And then," a cruel smile spread
across her face, "it will be your turn."
"I don't know how the hell you're pulling this off Seska,
but it will come to an end, now! Go back to hell, where you
belong." He snarled it at her, and would have launched
himself toward her if the ravine hadn't been in his way.
"I don't think so," she turned and eyed Kathryn again,
"I've spent enough time in hell, now it's your turn."
She took several steps toward her enemy and once more trailed a
finger across her cheek, "Now play nice kiddies, I will be
watching." With that Seska disappeared again and the two of
them were left alone in the cavern.
"I hope you have a plan started," Kathryn called out
across the ravine, "because I'm fresh out."
"Nothing yet, but let me see if I can find a way to get over
there." His eyes studied the size of the ravine, it wasn't
very wide. Actually, if he could get enough distance for a good
running start, he could probably jump its distance. Backing up,
he prepared to do just that.
"Chakotay," there was a level of almost panic in her
voice when she said his name.
He turned to face her, his eyes being drawn to what had alarmed
her. On her side of the ravine, the rock ledge she was standing
on was beginning to slowly crumble into the molten river below.
"Hang on Kathryn," His eyes darted around him, looking
for some way to get her out of there. "Kathryn, there's a
ledge about 6 yards above you, the cavern wall is jagged enough
you can probably climb its distance."
She turned and looked up, studying the ledge and the cavern wall,
"No," she said, remembering the state of her hands,
"I can't." She held up her hands, showing him for the
first time their ragged state. "I might be able to pull
myself up half that distance, but not the whole thing."
"Damnit," he swore, "alright, stay put I'm going
to try to get over there." He turned around and walked as
far back as he could, then started running toward the ravine. He
waited until he reached the edge, then lept. He reached the other
side with ease, stumbling only slightly. "Are you alright,"
he lifted her hands when he reached her side.
"I'm fine, we have to get out of here."
"We will," his gaze lingered momentarily before he
pulled away from her to check the hand and foot holds in the
cavern wall. "Alright, I think we can do this," he
turned back to face her, "but you're not going to like how."
She gave him a crooked grin, "At the moment, I don't care
how you get us out of here, just do it."
He nodded, "You're going to have to put your arms around my
neck, and hold on while I pull us up."
"Chakotay I'm too heavy for you..."
"Nonsense," He motioned her over, "besides it's
the only way you're going to make it up to that ledge."
She sighed, "Alright, but when you throw your back out don't
come crying to me." She moved over behind him and slipped
her arms around his neck. When he'd begun pulling himself up the
wall she slipped her legs around his waist, trying to even out
her weight.
Chakotay grunted with effort as he made his way up the wall, but
it had nothing to do with the added weight of his companion, and
everything to do with ignoring the proximity of her body, and how
it was wrapped around his. *You old man, pick the worst times to
get aroused,* he thought to himself.
"Are you alright?" She asked, unaware of the affect the
feel of her hot breath on his neck was having on him.
"Fine," he grunted, "we're almost there. When we
reach the ledge, pull yourself up first, and I'll follow you."
They traveled in silence for several minutes, and finally
reaching the ledge, Chakotay stopped and waited for her to pull
herself onto it.
Kathryn winced with the effort, pain shooting through her swollen
hands. It took her several attempts, but she finally managed to
wiggle her small body onto the ledge. Once there, she reached out
and helped to haul Chakotay over. "Despite how you got here,"
she said after several moments, "I knew you'd be here to
help me."
"Well isn't that sweet..." Seska towered over them, a
hideous smile plastered across her face.
Chakotay lifted himself to his feet and faced her, "Alright
Seska, what the hell is going on here."
She sighed and shook her head, "You know Chakotay, there was
a time when I had rather high hopes for you. But, like most
humans you lack intelligence and initiative."
Kathryn moved toward her, "And like most Cardassians you
lack a conscience and the ability to see beyond your own petty
little life." She put her hands on her hips and stood her
ground, "I've had enough of this Seska, kill us or send us
back to our ship. I don't care anymore, but this is going to end
right here and right now."
"Don't force her into making a decision Kathryn,"
Chakotay sneered at his ex-lover, "She's not capable of
doing it without her Kazon lover here to do it for her."
Seska's eyes flashed with immediate fury, with a loud screech she
launched herself at Chakotay, but he was pushed aside as Kathryn
stepped into the way. He watched in horror as the two of them
went over the side of the ledge, an agonizing scream was ripped
from Seska as her body contacted the molten rock below. He was
forced to close his eyes at the gory sight of flesh being melted
away from bone.
"Chakotay," Kathryn grunted as she struggled to keep
her hold on the stone ledge, "a little help please..."
"Kathryn," a great sigh of relief passed through his
lips as he pulled her back up. He sat back on the ledge, holding
her close, "If you ever do anything like that again.."
"I know..." she tightened her hold on him, "I won't.."
She pulled back after several moments, "Come on, let's see
if we can make our way to the surface, then hopefully Voyager
will find us." She allowed one final glance below as she
stood, hopefully they'd seen the last of Seska.
*~*~*~*~*
"You would think," Kathryn lifted the cup of coffee to
her lips for a long appreciative sip, "that Q would at least
have the courtesy to come back and apologize or, something."
"This is Q we're talking about Kathryn." Chakotay
leaned back against the sofa and shook his head, "We should
be grateful he even helped us."
"True, I just never thought we'd ever have to deal with
Seska again. I guess some things just never die." She sighed
and set the coffee aside, "So, what did you want to talk to
me about?"
His eyes took on a mischievous sparkle, "Well you see
Kathryn its like this," he reached over and snaked his
fingers around her wrist and pulled her across his lap. "I
was shot, almost baked, nearly lost in a set of caverns, then I
spent an hour being poked and prodded by the Doctor. And now I
think I am entitled to a little care, a little affection, a wee
bit of nurturing."
"Oh," she clucked, "you poor abused thing,"
she stroked his cheek, "I am so sorry." She leaned
forward, stopping just short of kissing him, "You should
probably go see Seven then shouldn't you."
He growled and flipped her over on the sofa until he was lying on
top of her, "You little witch!"
She squealed and bucked against him, "Well, she does seem
very fond of you these days."
"You're going to pay for that."
"And you think you're man enough to try?" She shifted
against him, bucking and twisting until she freed her legs enough
to wrap them about his waist.
"Try? Oh I think trying is a definite possibility," he
kissed his way across her jaw, "and succeeding," he
rocked against her until she groaned, "that too shall come.
But for now," he ground roughly against her, "Hold on..."
Her eyes widened as he twisted, flipping her onto her back. She
got one good look at his eyes, and gasped, then moaned when his
hands slid beneath her skirt and ripped her dark green satin and
lace panties away from her body. He rose above her, pressing a
knee between her thighs and pushing it against her while his
mouth found hers. His fingers teased her, just barely tracing the
edge of her folds while further up his tongue was lazily pushing
its way into her mouth. He tasted every centimeter of her, then
began to pull away slowly. He nipped and suckled at her lower lip
for several moments before trailing a hot, wet path down the side
of her neck. Kathryn arched her neck for him and ran her hands up
his back, nails just beginning to bite into the flesh of his back.
Chakotay sipped at the soft skin covering her collarbone, nipping
and suckling, then slowly moved onward. He teased her through her
blouse until her nipple hardened then ripped the blouse out of
her waistband and shoved his hands under it. They snaked slowly
up her torso, then his fingers brushed the sides of her breasts.
He stopped, and gently caressed each one slowly, gently brushing
against the side of each, working his way inward until his palms
were fitted to a breast. She was already arching against him as
he began to tease the nipples, drawing each pebbled nub between
his fingers and twisting them. He nuzzled her through the shirt,
then leaned back and withdrew his hands long enough to pull the
front open. When he lowered his head again he drew one pebbled
nub between his teeth and teased it with his tongue.
With a cry she arched off the sofa, her nails sinking into his
back. He moved between each breast, suckling and teasing, while
his hand dipped slowly downward. When his hand caressed the soft
skin of her inner thigh she arched into it, thrusting herself
toward him and moaning yet again. He wasn't to be hurried, he
moved slowly, withdrawing his mouth from her breasts and trailing
a path downward over her belly. He dipped his fingers into her,
just enough to tease, and smiled against her thigh when she
moaned. Then he pulled his mouth away from her and dropped to his
knees beside the sofa. He twisted her toward him, then bunched
her skirt up around her hips and held it in place with his hands
while his tongue flickered its way across her dampened opening.
He almost chuckled at her sharp breath, but continued on, tracing
his way along damp folds, sliding his tongue along her, swirling
it around her sensitive nub.
She thrust impatiently against his mouth, frustrated sounds
rumbling in her throat. But it was no use, his hot breath flowed
against her, but that was as much of a caress as he would allow
her. She growled at him, and still he waited, his hand sliding
down the inside of her thigh to join his mouth. His fingers
tangled in her damp curls and brushed against
her center, barely dipping inside before he would remove them.
When her legs started to shake his tongue dipped inward and
brushed the sensitive nub. He twirled his tongue around it,
sometimes almost touching it, others blatantly caressing. It was
enough to add to the ache, but not enough to bring it crashing
down on her. His fingers did their own swirling, dipping inward,
sliding in and out of her and smearing
moisture across the insides of her thighs for him to lick clean.
She shivered against him, her breath coming out in little puffs
punctuated by cries. He smiled against her, and picked up his
administrations, blatantly sucking the little nub between his
teeth and teasing it until she thought she was going to come,
then he released it and began nibbling on the inside of her thigh.
"Chakotay
" she growled, then caught herself and
bit her lip to keep from saying it. She buried her fingers in his
hair, purposefully letting her nails sink into his scalp and held
on as he started again, working slowly.
He buried his fingers inside her, thrusting deeply while his
tongue skirted around her, almost bringing her to release again,
then pulling away. When he would have started again she choked
back a sob, "Goddamn you Chakotay... just finish it."
He grinned faintly and buried his face in her, teasing her
relentlessly until she bucking and twisting against him. Moving
so forcefully that she tumbled off the sofa and on top of him. He
rolled her beneath him and recaptured her mouth while his hands
worked quickly to tug his trousers past his hips and out of the
way. Then he lifted her skirt again, parted her thighs, and
entered her, filling her with one hard, swift thrust. She let out
a grateful groan and sank her nails into his shoulders, then
wrapping her legs firmly around his waist she matched him thrust
for thrust, driving him deeper and harder.
Chakotay balanced himself on his knees, with one hand against the
floor, his other managed to slide between their bodies, teasing
her until she screamed. And scream she did, as her body tightened
around him her head fell back and her screams bounced off the
walls of her cabin, no doubt filtering into the corridor beyond
and possibly the bridge above. He might have laughed except that
he joined her in climax at that precise moment and thought seemed
to just flee from his mind. He collapsed beside her, one arm
throw over her chest, his face against the floor while his chest
heaved.
"Well, isn't this cozy."
They both sat upright, Kathryn tugging her blouse closed while
Chakotay snatched a pillow from the sofa and placed it in his lap.
"Q!" He swore, "Haven't you caused enough trouble
lately?"
The omnipotent being rolled his eyes, "You know, I was
watching you just now," he smiled as they blushed and
scowled, "And I have to say that besides being a little
messy, you're way is much preferable to the Q method. I may have
to mention it to the missus next time I see her."
Kathryn's eyes narrowed, "Do you have a reason for being
here?"
"Yes actually, but you should be thanking me, I could have
interrupted during that little smut fest
then wouldn't you
be pleased." He plopped down on a chair opposite them,
"Actually I thought I would lower myself a bit and apologize
for my mate. She is a bit high strung, but don't worry. She
embarrassed herself with this little farce, so she won't be
trying again. But if she does, I'll be watching."
Kathryn rolled her eyes and glanced at Chakotay, "I feel so
reassured."
"Well you should! I helped save your life, and do you thank
me? Humph! Humans, you're all so ungrateful!" And with that
he disappeared.
Kathryn leaned back against the sofa and sighed, "Well at
least it wasn't Tuvok again."
"There is that."
She sighed again turned toward him, "Well that sweltered all
thoughts of round two, how about some food from the messhall then
we'll discuss round two in your cabin."
"Sounds like a plan to me," He tossed the pillow away
and stood, tugging his trousers up as he went. Then he extended a
hand and helped Kathryn to her feet, "Although, you may want
to change."
She looked down, and then scowled at him, "What is it with
you and my clothes? This was my favorite blouse!"
"I always fix them don't I, besides, you weren't complaining
at the time."
"Hmm."
"Kathryn, you don't really think he watched do you?"
"It was Q, I don't believe anything he tells me."
"Oh, that's good
